“…After I was knocked of top 8 someone asked me, ‘Why are you such an asshole when you dance?’…”
“…As long as you kept your head down no one would mess with you…”
“… People would tell me that they don’t see me as a trans woman they see me as a woman… But I still feel like a trans woman and that’s an identity I would have a hard time letting go of…” Trying out a new segment: content creator spotlight!?
“My town was 85% white… White moderates with Confederate flags were considered the norm…”
On August 3rd 2020 I sat down with Zeon a transmasc, black furry who’s been through the ringer because of their race. We discuss how their fursona helped them come out as trans, the effect Christianity has on impoverish black people, and why BIPOC representation in the fandom is important.
I interviewed a good friend of mine, John, who offered his perspective as a gay and black furry born with albinism. We discuss coming out as gay in a black household, how the BLM protests are affecting him in Atlanta, GA, and how I turned him into a furry. Things take a turn partway through and turn a light hearted chat between friends into a hearkening reminder of the dark times we live in.
